Welcome to Athlone Agri Show.

The Athlone Agricultural Show will take place on the 21st of June 2026 on the farm of Michael O' Donohoe at Garnafeilagh, Athlone, Eircode N37 V252

Admission; Tickets can be purchased at the entrance to the Show.

Adults €15.00, Students (with Student Card) and OAPs €10
Children Under 12 free when accompanied by an Adult
Family Ticket €25 (two adults and up to three children under 12)

There's an impressive programme of classes in the Equine Section at Athlone Agricultural Show this year. 107 Classes across 5 Rings including Broodmares and Foals, Young Horses, In Hand Connemara Ponies, Irish Draughts, Ridden Ponies, Ridden Connemara Ponies, Cobs, Family Pony Classes, Working Hunter and Ridden Horses. 

Athlone Show Society hold the 'Athlone Mare and Foal Championship', with a prizefund of €5'000 kindly sponsored by Jim Derwin Equestrian.

We are hosting 3 Qualifiers for the Dublin Horse Show INTERMEDIATE SIDE SADDLE, LADIES SIDE SADDLE and RACEHORSE TO RIDING HORSE sponsored by The Irish Racehorse Trainers Association along with many qualifiers for the ISA All Ireland Championships 2026. 

Athlone Show has new Donkey Classes and a Qualifying Class for the 'ISA and Ballinashoe Show All Ireland Donkey Mare and Foal Championship'

More Exciting News, 2026 sees the expansion of Cattle Classes to the show. The cattle this year will feature Pedigree Breeds of cattle including Angus, Hereford, Shorthorn, Belgian Blue, Charolais, Limousin, Simmental, Salers and Commercial Cattle.

The Sheep Section will feature the Six All Ireland Championships 2026. Kepak have agreed to continue as the Main Sponsor for the Cattle and Sheep Sections.

Poultry and Eggs will again be a feature of the Agricultural Show this year, with Championships and Supreme Championships in the various categories. Make sure to check out the wide variety of poultry on showcase in the Poultry Marquee, from Bantams to Heavy and Light Feather Fowl, and Waterfowl to Ducks and Turkeys! There's also a class for the 'Most Unusual Bird' one not to miss!

Super Dog Show
A huge attraction is also our wide range of dog classes where adults and children alike can show off their four legged friends.
The Champion Dog will receive the Ellen Devery Perpetual Cup.

Another huge attraction are our Cookery, Art and Photograpy Competitions for the young and not so young.
